Do you need more land volunteers to watch/observe? I trained and volunteered some with another group that had a harbor porpoise
project a few years ago. I have time to volunteer. I observe heron foraging in the summer as part of a citizen science project and I enjoy
    these projects.

Hi there. We purchased a home in Anacortes in 2020 and are here June-September. I would love to volunteer and provide what services I can to help. I am retired but was a Controller of a $40 million dollar a year Mechanical Contractor in Phoenix so have experience in accounting, would also love to volunteer for Field Work or anything else where there would be a need. Please contact me. Thank you.

We live on the water in Lagoon Point and watch the ocean for hours each day. What to join?

We watched 3 harbor porpoise foraging this AM, from around 9 to 10 or 10:30 AM, off Fidalgo Head,
towards the island. There appeared to be a lot of small fish breaking the surface of the water in the area.
Also a harbor seal. Another harbor seal was over towards Bowman Bay and one more off Rosario Beach.
There were not as many birds taking advantage of the availability of the fish as I would have expected.
Weather was calm with fog drifting in and out from the beaches and headlands. The flowers are lovely.
